    Duties

    The Office of the Vice President of Administrative and Financial Affairs oversees the effective and strategic management of the University's human, financial and administrative resources in accordance with established policies and institutional frameworks. The Vice President is the principal authority on the interpretation and implementation of the University's administrative and financial policies, rules and regulations.

    Duties:

    • Oversee the general approved administrative and financial policies and procedures.
    • Identify and oversee the financial, operational and human resource requirements necessary to support the University's objectives and strategic priorities.
    • Prepare and submit the University's budget proposal to the University President.
    • Coordinate with the Vice President for Strategy and Institutional Effectiveness to ensure alignment between budget planning, institutional priorities and the University's strategic objectives.
    • Participate in Executive Management Committee meetings and follow up on the implementation of approved decisions and recommendations.
    • Chair the Tender and Bidding Committee, oversee procurement-related committees and endorse related decision reports and recommendations.
    • Oversee the implementation of administrative and financial projects and ensure their execution in accordance with approved plans and timelines.
    • Recommend the appointment of administrative directors, subject to the President's approval, and oversee appointments of administrative heads based on recommendations from department directors.
    • Establish university-wide committees to assist with issues relevant to administrative and financial affairs.
    • Prepare an annual report on the University's financial and administrative performance, including future plans, for submission to the President.
    • Oversee the staff performance evaluation processes and support initiatives aimed at enhancing professional and institutional performance across administrative units.
    • Conduct an annual evaluation of the Office of the Vice President of Administrative and Financial Affairs to assess performance, effectiveness and operational objectives.
